How did I get started on this crazy ride?

I believe it was August or September of 2000, I went to my first AKC dog show.  I traveled to the show with a new friend, Elizabeth Treese and her Miniature Pinschers.  By the end of the first hour at the show I was hooked on showing, but now needed a dog.  Naturally I didn't even consider the Miniature Pinscher. I'd never really met one I liked.  In years past every one I had been around was either fat, mean or barked all the time.  Nope not for me, no way.
Then I spent another night in a hotel room with with Elizabeth and her dogs.  Yeah, still not enough to convince me, even though her dogs were not fat. Or mean. or barking. Still not enough to do it for me.
But like other things in life, what you think you want isn't always good for you, and things you didn't consider at first begin to grow on you.
Eventually after spending time around her black and rust boy Bobbie, and his sweet little sister Scarlett, I realized this just might be the breed for me.
When Elizabeth decided to buy a girl from Wendy Boyette, I thought I would like to get a boy to show, and so "Peter" made his way from El Paso, Texas to St.Marys, GA.
